Whether it’s embodying a character or directing actors, she puts her heart and soul into every scene. As a producer, she is known for having a backup to her backup, so you can rest assured that she runs productions safely, efficiently and on budget!

Maria Robles was born on June 20 in San Antonio, Texas. She is the second in her family since 1830 born outside of Puerto Rico, so she proudly calls herself a “Texan-Rican”. As a child, she loved to read and dance jazz and hip hop, until she was bitten by the acting bug in college.

Since then she has acted in theater, film, television and commercials in Dallas, New Orleans and Madrid. Eventually, she craved more creative control and produced her own music videos, pilot episodes and and short films. She wrote, produced, directed and starred in a workplace comedy pilot, “Apartments” and produced/acted in “L.I.F.E.: Song Sung Blue” which have both won “Best Series” at Dreamachine Film Festival. Producing and acting in the music video “Earth Mother” won her team won “Best Production Design” at the Apex Film Festival in 2020. While studying film and flamenco in Spain, her obsession with writing that empowers women led to a vigilante origin story, “La venganza de la flamenca”. It was selected to be produced by the Instituto de Cine Madrid and was nominated for “Best Short” at MadFest 2023. After sharing the screen with cult director Alex Cox in “Dead Souls” in 2025, Maria returned home from Madrid with a Master’s in International Film Production.
